Dr. Allison Wescott earned a bachelor of science, cum laude, in bioengineering in 2003 at the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. She received a doctor of medicine from the Medical University of Toledo in 2007.

Dr. Wescott's volunteer experience includes service with Planned Parenthood of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, during which she became a certified HIV testing counselor. She gained research experience as a summer undergraduate research student at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
